Pebbles of Perpetuity is a discussion based on the Word of God on themes that touch our everyday lives. God is a good God – according to His own definition – abounding in goodness and truth. He initiated a conversation at man’s first breath and never stopped speaking, throughout all the failures, disaster, tragedies as well as victories and successes of mankind. He is known as a god Who speaks. His Word becomes life itself through the working of the Holy Spirit when we hear His voice. He gave His son, Jesus, to die for for the sin of the world as an everlasting sign of His communication with man. As children of God our lives are marked by miracles of deliverance and provision.
The name, Pebbles of Perpetuity, is taken from Joshua 4 when Joshua reminded the people to build an altar of river stones to mark the miracle of the crossing of a flooding river so that the children will know the story. In the words of Joshua:
That this may be a sign among you when your children ask in time to come, what do these stones mean to you?
Then you shall tell them that the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord; when it passed over the Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off. So these stones shall be to the Israelites a memorial forever.
Let us not forget our miracles, let us tell the story. Mark a stone as a symbol of gratitude to the Lord. Journal on your miracles, your special scriptures, promises that build faith and hope to look back and rejoice.
